Why We Started FounderFeat
Every morning, I read about AI. New models, new funding rounds, new predictions about which jobs will disappear and which companies will win. Most of it is interesting. Very little of it is useful.
That gap is why FounderFeat exists.
The Problem With AI Coverage
Most technology media is written for people watching the industry. It covers who raised money, which model topped a benchmark and what a famous CEO said on stage. That coverage has its place. But if you are actually running a company, it rarely answers the questions you have on Monday morning.
Which AI tools are worth paying for? Which ones did other founders cancel? How do you evaluate a model before building your product on it? What happens to your marketing when AI answers the question before anyone clicks your link? Should you raise money, or can AI help you build without it?
Those are the questions founders, agency owners and operators ask me all the time. They are also the questions I ask myself.
Where I Am Coming From
I have spent more than six years in SEO and link building, working with businesses across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia.
In that time I have watched the industry change again and again. Tactics that worked for years stopped working overnight. Tools that promised everything delivered little. The people who kept winning were not the ones chasing every trend. They were the ones who tested things, measured results and stayed honest about what was actually working.
AI is the biggest change I have seen yet. It is also surrounded by more hype than anything before it. That combination makes clear, practical, honest coverage more valuable than ever.
What FounderFeat Is
FounderFeat covers one thing: how founders build with AI.
That means how founders and operators use AI to build products, run teams, win customers and grow companies. Every article we publish has to answer a simple question: what does this mean for someone running a business? If a story does not have an answer, we do not publish it.
We organize our coverage into a few areas:
- AI explains what is changing and who it affects.
- Data Science covers the data work that makes AI actually function.
- FF Labs tests AI tools hands on, using real work, so you can decide what to buy.
- Marketing covers how companies grow in a world where AI is reshaping search and attention.
- Startups looks at how AI era companies are built, funded and sometimes broken.
- People tells the stories of founders and operators through our Founder Files interviews.
- Rankings gives buyers trustworthy, transparent lists built on published methods.
- Opinion is where we take clear positions, including this one.
What We Promise
We test, we do not just report
When we compare tools, we use them on real tasks. When we cannot test something, we say so. When results come from a company’s own claims, we label them clearly.
We do not sell rankings
No company can pay for a position in a FounderFeat ranking. If we ever offer sponsored placements, they will be clearly labeled and kept separate from our editorial judgments. Rankings are only valuable if readers can trust them, so we will protect that trust above revenue.
We show our sources
Every statistic links to where it came from. We do not invent quotes, and we do not pretend to have data we do not have.
We write for builders
No hype words, no filler and no pretending every new release changes everything. Clear language, specific examples and honest conclusions.
We tell you when we have a stake
I work in the SEO and link building industry. When we write about that industry, we will disclose it, and we will keep any business I am connected to out of our rankings.
Who This Is For
FounderFeat is for founders at every stage, from someone building alone with AI tools to a team preparing for its next round. It is for agency owners figuring out how AI changes their services and pricing. It is for marketers watching search change beneath them. And it is for operators everywhere, including in places the tech press often ignores.
We are based in [NEEDS INPUT: decide how you want to describe your base], and we write for a global audience. Some of the most interesting companies I know are being built far from Silicon Valley, serving customers around the world. Their stories deserve coverage too.
What Comes Next
We are starting with a set of articles across every section, our first Founder Files interviews and our first ranking. Over the coming months, we will publish more hands on tests, more original data and more conversations with the people actually building.
If you are a founder with a story worth telling, a tool you think we should test or a question you want answered, I want to hear from you.
And if you want practical, honest coverage of how founders build with AI, subscribe. We will earn your attention one useful article at a time.
