Delvitech to Invest Up to $30 Mn in Bengaluru Manufacturing Facility, Create 800 Jobs
Swiss electronics inspection technology company Delvitech will invest an initial $10 million, with total investment expected to reach $25–30 million, to establish a new manufacturing and technology facility in Bengaluru as it expands its presence in India’s growing electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
The 65,000-square-foot facility is expected to become operational in Q1 2027 and is projected to create 500–800 jobs over the next five years, spanning manufacturing, engineering and technical roles.
The company, which develops AI-native Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) solutions for electronics manufacturing, announced the investment on September 22, alongside a showcase of its latest inspection technologies at productronica India 2026 in Bengaluru.
“India is one of our priority markets, and the country has leapfrogged in its manufacturing capabilities over the last few years, with electronics now being at the center of that growth story. We see enormous potential here; not just as a manufacturing base, but increasingly as a hub for R&D and innovation. Our customers here didn’t ask us to be present; they asked us to be close. Bangalore is that answer,” Roberto Gatti, Founder and CEO of Delvitech SA, said.

“The new facility brings together in-house precision machining, metrology and equipment integration under one roof, allowing us to control quality and tolerances at every stage, shorten lead times, and localise engineering support for our customers. We are investing in India for the long term, building a facility that goes beyond assembly to deliver real manufacturing, technology and customer value locally,” Vasanth Kumar, Head of Asia Operations, Delvitech, said.
The facility will include an in-house Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and metrology equipment to inspect critical components for accuracy, repeatability and compliance. It will also integrate mechanical, electrical, optical, software and control systems, supported by engineering and R&D teams focused on localisation and continuous improvement. Delvitech also plans to establish a dedicated customer demonstration area, allowing customers to locally test and evaluate its inspection machines.
Alongside the facility announcement, Delvitech showcased its latest inspection solutions—including Horus, Aton and Horus Dual Lane—at productronica India 2026.
The company said its systems use physical AI to transform electronics inspection, focusing on improving manufacturing efficiency, cost, production time and sustainability.
Delvitech is betting on rising demand for automated inspection as Indian original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and electronics manufacturing services (EMS) companies scale production and adopt higher levels of automation and traceability.
The Bengaluru facility is expected to bring Delvitech’s manufacturing, engineering, inspection technology and customer support capabilities closer to Indian electronics manufacturers as the country expands its role in global electronics production.
